FEMTOSPEX surface dynamics

Excited states dynamics with x-rays @ BESSY-VSR at UE56_1-PGM

The end station FEMTOSPEX Surface Dynamics enables angle- and time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy. The acceptance angle of the spectrometer is max. 60 °. The time resolution is given by the pulse length of the X-ray pulses from Bessy. Femtosecond slicing can be used. The pump laser offers a maximum repetition rate of 6kHz with about 1.2mJ per pulse (800nm). The second harmonic (400nm) can be used without any problems. The use of an OPA is also possible.

Selected Applications:
  • CHC Spectroscopy
  • time-resolved Photo Electron Spectroscopy
  • Photo Electron Diffraction
