EPR spectrometers
Our lab is equipped with EPR spectrometers covering an ultra-wide range of resonance fields/frequencies.
The following spectrometers are available to both, in house and external users:
- Bruker ESP 300 X-band spectrometer, equipped for quantitative and very high temperature (up to 1000 K) EPR measurements.
- Bruker Elexsys 580 X- Q-band EPR and ENDOR spectrometer (Fig. 1), with Pulsed Double Electron Double Resonance (PELDOR) and lab built pulsed EDMR and optically detected magnetic resonance extensions.
- Bruker Elexsys 780 system 263 GHz / 12 T EPR/ENDOR spectrometer (Fig. 2) equipped for pulsed and cw EPR, ENDOR and EDMR operation.
- A unique broad band FD-FT THz-EPR set-up (Fig.3) at HZB’s storage ring BESSY II covering a frequency range from 150 GHz to 1.5 THz. This instrument is available to HZB and FUB in house and external users (via HZB’s external user platform). The FD-FT THz-EPR system is equipped with an ultra-high resolution IFS 125 FTIR spectrometer, a sweepable 10 T magnet and liquid He cooled bolometers.
