Data handling

Raw data storage

The raw data (i.e. .cbf and .img - files) from the beamline, will be stored within your px-home directory.

The maximum data storage duration for raw data files will be 2 workdays after finishing your experiment. After that, it will be deleted automatically!

Data backup 

We highly recommend to store your data on USB hard drives on site, using one of our backup-computers with powered USB hubs and the backup script.

USB hard drives should be formatted with NTFS. For other formats, we can not guarantee that the data backup  works properly.

Please note: backup media will not be provided by BESSY-MX!
