Wire saw
The diamond wire saw allows precision cuts of a large variety of materials. It accepts different sample mount methods, including goniometers for x-ray and neutron diffraction. The typical width of a cut, i.e. the material loss, is 0.3 mm. The wire saw is fully compatible with the Laue camera orientation set-up.
