Does the 7-days regulation also apply to other beamlines?

No.

Can I also watch the experiment via a visitor dosimeter?

No.

Where must the SSRN be entered in my radiation passport?

In German radiation passports on page 3.

Do I have to bring my own dosimeter?

Usually, the dosimeter used in the home institute must remain in the home institute. For some companies/institutes, however, there are officially defined exceptions that are specified in the operating license.

How many months does my radiation passport need to be updated to?

To 2 months.

What should I do if my dosimeter is malfunctioning?

Leave the hall and report to the radiation protection office.

What should I do if I have lost my dosimeter?

Leave the hall and report to the radiation protection office.

Why is it only allowed to enter the hall for one hour with the visitor dosimeter?

This is a exemption agreed with the supervisory authority.

Do I have to check out with you if I am no longer working at HZB?

Yes. You must check out at the radiation protection office and return your dosimeter.

Where can I apply for my radiation protection register (SSR) number?

On the website of the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS)

I am a civil servant and have no social insurance number, what is being done for me to get an SSRN?

Please contact the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS).

When will I get my dose values from you?

3-7 weeks after the measurement period; but only if the dose values are exceeding the detection threshold, which happens very rarely at the HZB.

How long is the transition period regarding the SSRN?

Until 30.06.2019.

From when on will I not be able to enter the hall at the HZB without this number?

From 01.07.2019.
