Department Structure and Dynamics of Energy Materials

Diffraction and EXAFS at the X-ray beamline KMC-2

Structure and Dynamics of Energy Materials: Research on Matter with Brilliant Light Sources

The Department of Structure and Dynamics of Energy Materials operates two endstations (diffraction and EXAFS) at the very stable X-ray beamline KMC-2 at the synchrotron BESSY II in full user service within the Helmholtz Research Program “From Matter to Materials and Life”. Using the energy range between 4 and 14 keV, the beamline is also specialized for anomalous scattering experiments.
