Experiment 6: SIRAS on tetragonal lysozyme
In this experiment, tetragonal lysozyme crystals are used for experimental phase determination by the SIRAS method. A native data set was collected at a wavelength of 1.0 Å. A second crystal was derivatized by soaking it in freshly prepared KAuCl4 solution and a derivative data set was collected also at wavelength of 1.0 Å. The structure can then be solved by SIRAS.
