Berlin Science Week: Discovering research made in HZB
The HZB is participating in the programme of Berlin Science Week and Falling Walls with a wide range of events. In this overview, we briefly summarise where you can find research from HZB and discuss it with scientists. Please note that you have to register for the events. Participation is free of charge.
During the Berlin Science Week many talks and events are addressed at international visitors. At the official site of Berlin Science Week you may compose your personal programme in english language. Also the HZB offers some events in english, some in german language.

HZB expert Marcus Lörgen and Cafer Tufan Çakır from Bam present the X-ray source BESSY II and explain how it can be used to advance the development of new types of materials, for example corrosion-resistant materials. more>

On a tour of the Adlershof Science and Technology Park you can learn about the design possibilities for building-integrated photovoltaics. The spectrum ranges from solar cells in sunshades to car park roofing to design façade elements and complete façades made of solar modules. more>

On Friday and Saturday, HZB will be showing examples of research for the whole family at a stand in Berlin's Museum of Natural History and presenting the X-ray source BESSY II and its benefits for science.
