Atomiade 2018: Register now for the sporting highlight at Lago Maggiore

The 16th Atomiade will be held in Varese, Italy, from 8 to 11 June 2018. The hosts request that people register informally now so that they can optimally plan the event. Every three years, employees of European research institutes take part in the Atomiade sporting competition. The event is held in the name of pleasure of sports and the mutual sharing of news and information.

Those who are interested in participating should please contact Martina Stephan, the chairperson of the HZB company sports group (BSG). She will be making the plans for the HZB team that will be attending next year’s Atomiade. “I can only heartily recommend that everyone try out the Atomiade. Anyone who has attended has felt so enthusiastic, even euphoric, that they have wanted to go again. And, of course, the 2018 venue at Lago Maggiore in Italy is especially beautiful,” says Martina Stephan.

The 16th Atomiade will be held from 8 to 11 June 2018. The sporting venues will be, among other places, in Varese, Ispra and the surrounding area.

The fee for participation is 270 euros, which covers accommodation, meals, charges for getting into sports facilities, bus shuttles and evening events. Exception: The total fee for golf is 400 euros, which includes the abovementioned services.

Members of the HZB Sports Club (BSG) can also receive a subsidy towards the participation fees, but the budget of the BSG is limited and depends on the number of participants.
