Optical Alignment

An essential step in the construction of a beamline is the geodetic survey and the installation of the optics: they must be adjusted with extreme care within their chamber and with regard to the beam path. Only by correctly measured optics, see also metrology, and the verified adjustment it is possible to guarantee the specified requirements of a beamline.

In the near future, a separate laboratory is to be set up for this purpose, which on the one hand will enable work to be carried out under clean conditions to protect the optics and on the other hand will make the work processes involved in setting up or upgrating beamlines more efficient.
