Abstract:
We will present two experimental setups based on our laser produced plasma (LPP) and High Harmonics Generation (HHG) sources and reflection zone plate (RZP) optics for time-resolved Near Edge X-ray Absorption Fine Structure (NEXAFS) spectroscopy. Our highly brilliant LPP source emits pico-second pulses in a wide photon energy range from 50 to 1500 eV. The HHG source pumped by a high average power thin disk laser OPCPA system delivers femtosecond pulses in a photon energy range from 100 to 650 eV with a high average flux in the water window and beyond. We will discuss the application of both setups for pump-probe experiments on L-edges of transition metals as well as at N-edges of magnetic materials.
