Abteilung Lösungsprozesse für Hybride Materialien und Bauelemente
Projects & Collaborations
We are involved in several third-party funded projects within Germany, Europa and the USA.
The main projects are listed below:
SolarTap

SolarTap - A Technology Acceleration Platform for emerging Photovoltaics
A Project by the Helmholtz Association
January 1st 2023 - December 31st 2025
Our role:
Solar TAP wants to accelerate the transfer of technologies from „Lab-to-Fab“ through close cooperations with industry. We run several industry-projects on slot-die coating, inkjet printing, ink & ink recycling, in-situ formation studies, experimental and analytic automization, and data management.
Please get in touch to know more about the research and industry network.
Shine
SHINE
May 1st 2022 - April 30th 2027
Our role:
Our main focus is on perovskite solar cells, formation studies from ink to thin-films and finished devices. We aim to get a full picture from chemistry to the thin-film physics; from the precursors to the solar cell devices.
SOL-AI
SOL-AI
Helmholtz Association Foundation Model
May 1st 2024 - April 30th 2027
Our role:
NOMAD datamanagement
LUMINOSITY

Large area uniform industry compatible perovskite solar cell technology
H2020 IA project
June 1st 2024 - May 31st 2028
Our role:
We focus on slot-die coating of the perovskite absorber films, using combinatorial coating, ink design & optimization, optical in-situ film formation studies and X-ray & synchrotron-based analytics.
PERSEUS

Printed Perovskite Solar Cells for Large Area User Application
H2020 IA project
January 1st 2025 - December 31st 2027
Our role:
Establish a common data managment system, called ViperDAT (Virtual Perovskite PV Data)
Supporting role
PVKIS
Dünnschicht-Tandem-Photovoltaik: Nachhaltige Perowskit/CIGS Solarmodule aus industriellen Prozessen
Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klima (BMWK)
October 1st 2024 - September 30th 2027
Coordinator:
Institute Competence Centre Photovoltaics Berlin (PVcomB); Dr. Iver Lauermann
Our role:
Inkjet printing and analytics of perovskite absorbers on industrial CIGS thin film modules.
SolMates

Scalable High-Power Output and Low Cost Made-to-Measure Tandem Solar Modules Enabling Specialised PV Allications
HORIZON-RIA
January 1st 2024 - December 31st 2026
Coordinator: University of Innsbruck (AT), Department of Material Technology Section, Dr. Nikolaus Weinberger
Main contact at HZB:
Institute Competence Centre Photovoltaics Berlin (PVcomB); Dr. Iver Lauermann
Our role:
Inkjet printing and ink development of hole transport materials for perovskite solar cells and Perosvkite/CIGS Tandem Solar Cells.
