Research related to ion energy losses
Research on Ion Energy-Losses covers very different field, such as:
- The energy-loss code CasP for simplified ab-initio calculations. This well-known code has been created here and may be obtained for free.
- The Atomic-Orbital coupled-channel method AO. The currently most precise energy-loss calculations for atoms and solids have been carried out using this method.
- Intra-Band Excitations: Theory of Ion Energy-Loss in Metals. The first quantum perturbation treatments have been performed here.
- Energy loss and transport of molecular ions. Experiments have been performed and quatum theory (perturbative and also non-perturbative have been invoked).
- Medium Energy Ion Scattering (MEIS) and other experimental high-resolution ion-beam techniques have been applied.
