Tandem PV Workshop
tandemPV 2022
Dear PV scientists,
Dear Friends of multiple junctions,
After the successful tandemPV 2021 workshop with 600 participants from 44 countries, hosted by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin in April 2021, you might ask yourself: “When is the next tandemPV workshop?” Well, we have good news: It is coming soon!
tandemPV 2022: May 30 – June 1, 2022 in Freiburg, Germany
Why Freiburg? As many know, Freiburg is the home of the famous Black Forest Cake, a material system as complex as a tandem solar cell (First results of a preliminary investigation are shown in Fig. 1). Furthermore, it not only serves as a perfect inspiration but also as the ideal diet for exhausting scientific discussions.
The workshop will take place as a hybrid event. It will be held in the event rooms of the brand-new football stadium of our local team SC Freiburg, close by to the Fraunhofer Institute of Solar Energy Systems ISE and just a few tram stations away from the beautiful historical city center of Freiburg (see Fig. 2). We are certain that this stimulating environment will give room for lively personal interaction and inspiring discussions.
The main topics of the tandemPV 2022 will be similar to the workshop in 2021:
- Day 1: Materials Research for Tandem Solar Cells
- Day 2: Tandem Solar Cell Devices and Modules
- Day 3: Upscaling - Industrialisation - Yield (Industry Day)
Again, we will invite leading scientists to report on the latest results in this exciting field. The program will also include lively poster sessions and panel discussions. The call for abstracts will be out soon! Last but not least, social activities and a conference dinner (including Black Forest Cake!) will complement our workshop.
We kindly ask you to save the date and we look forward to welcoming you next year in our beautiful city of Freiburg!
