Workshop: 20 Years of Russian-German Laboratory at BESSY II
18 - 19 November, 2021
The Russian-German Laboratory at BESSY II, operating two beamlines and several experimental stations, is celebrating 20 years of successful operation. In October 2001, the first dipole beamline was completed and characterized with synchrotron radiation. The inauguration workshop took place in Berlin from 18-20 November 2001. Since then, the beamlines and endstations have continuously been upgraded following the needs of the Russian-German user community and driven by a series of workshops. A major extension was the RGBL2 undulator beamline and endstation inaugurated in 2019.
Punctually 20 years later, we will host a workshop on 18 and 19 November 2021 to look back at the past, highlight recent results from both beamlines, and look into the future. The workshop will be held online in the mornings, conveniently for both communities. The participation is free of charge and accessible after registration. While the presentations are invited, we will provide opportunities for discussion by chat and/or voice.
