Experimentalphysiker und Experte auf dem Gebiet der Erforschung nanostrukturierter und grenzflächenbestimmter Materialien sowie deren Charakterisierung durch Gasadsorptionsanalyse kombiniert mit Techniken der Neutronen- und Röntgenbeugung. Forschungsschwerpunkte sind die Grundlagen der Thermodynamik und Struktur mesoskaliger Porenkondensate sowie die Sorptionseigenschaften von Gasspeichermaterialien und Molekularsieben. Verantwortlicher im Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für wissenschaftliche und technische Nutzerunterstützung an der Neutronenquelle BER-II und der Synchrotronlichtquelle BESSY-II für Probenumgebung in den Bereichen: hohe Drücke und Temperaturen, kontrollierte Gasatmosphären, Trockenkryostate, sowie für den Betrieb des komplementären HZB-Nutzerlabors DEGAS für Gasadsorptionsuntersuchungen.
