Vertical Test Stand

One of the currently ongoing infrastructure programs is the construction of a vertical test stand. It will be used to test gun and booster cavities for BERLinPro as well as for tests on superconducting samples with the Quadrupole Resonator.
The design of the helium cryostat has been completed and construction is currently in progress.  The helium vessel will have a diameter of 600mm and a diameter of 2200mm. Instead of using a nitrogen shield, a passive helium shield at 70K is planned. Two layers of magnetic shielding will enable testing in a low magnetic field environment.
